About Dr. Karlovsky

Dr. Karlovsky is double board certified by the American Board of Urology in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology), a distinction held by very few urologists in the United States. After completing medical school at State University of New York-Brooklyn, he completed Urology residency at Temple University and then fellowship in Neuro-urology & Prothesis and Female Pelvic Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr Karlovsky treats all aspects of General Urology for men and women (kidney stones, prostate, cancer, male and female sexual dysfunction, vasectomy) but subspecializes in women’s pelvic health issues such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, complications related to prior vaginal/bladder reconstructive surgery including mesh, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain disorders and neurogenic bladder disorders. Typically, half of his patients are women. Dr Karlovsky is versed in all the latest and standard technologies for urology and female pelvic medicine and also commonly provides “second opinions” after other treatments may not succeed elsewhere. He previously authored a book entitled Female Urinary Incontinence, is a Faculty Physician with University of Arizona School of Medicine, and currently is an outside reviewer for the Arizona Medical Board. Dr Karlovsky also consults with Plaintiff and Defense attorneys, as well as with insurance companies and hospitals regarding medicolegal matters across the United States. (www.ExpertInUrology.com).

He is a speaker to physician and public groups, both nationally and locally, and a peer reviewer for several urological publications. Dr. Karlovsky has been in practice in the East Valley since 2005. He will see you personally, offer a friendly demeanor, spend the necessary time, and formulate an appropriate treatment plan for your urological needs. When not working, Dr Karlovsky spends his free time with his wife and children.
